Khunti police have arrested three persons in connection with the gang-rape of a 13-year-old girl on March 19. The accused were sent to jail on Saturday.

The girl was returning home after watching the Chhau dance on March 19 when the youth persuaded her to come to his village. The young man together with three of his friends then raped her in the house.

The parents first took the girl for medical treatment and subsequently filed an FIR at the local police station on March 24. Khunti SP Aman Kumar said, "A team led by Khunti police officer Amit Kumar nabbed the accused persons on Friday."
